Beans Stir Fry-Beans Vepudu-Beans Talimpu

Stir fry is called Vepudu or Talimpu in Telugu. Poriyal in Tamil. Palya in Kannada and Toran in Malayalam.

There are different ways of beans stir fry. This is one of them.

Ingredients for Beans Stir Fry or Beans Vepudu or Beans Talimpu:

Beans Chopped

Green Chillies 3

Onion 1

Garlic 3 pods

Grated Coconut 3 tbsp

Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp

Urad Dal 1/2 tsp

Chana Dal 1/2 tsp

Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp

Turmeric Powder a pinch

Curry Leaves

Oil

Salt

Making of Beans Stir Fry or Beans Vepudu or Beans Talimpu:

Take a pan and add oil when pan is hot.

Add mustard seeds when oil is hot. When mustard seeds crackle add curry leaves.

When curry leaves are crisp add urad dal,chana dal and cumin seeds. Fry them on low flame till they are brown and you can smell nice aroma of dal’s.

Now add chopped onions and green chillies. Fry them till onions is transparent and chillies are fried.

Add chopped garlic and fry for few seconds.

Now add chopped beans and fry them and cover. Cook till they are tender.

Add turmeric powder and salt. Saute. When beans are cooked ,check for taste and add grated coconut.Switch of the stove and mix grated coconut.

Serve beans vepudu or beans talimpu hot with rice. Tastes so good and enjoy benefits of beans and coconut.
