Eggless Avocado Chocolate Ice Cream

My daughter is at home now because of summer holidays. She has sweet tooth and loves Ice cream and frozen Yogurt very much. She loves going to Bruster’s and Dairy Queen. I will prepare at home different types of Ice cream and frozen yogurt if I have all ingredients at home.
Avocados are waiting for me for couple of days. Normally I will do Guacamole as my family loves Guacamole very much.
I used to take it as snack and accompany it with my meals when I had gestational diabetes. It helps to reduce blood sugars 🙂
I had come across this Avocado Ice cream recipe while searching for eggless ice cream recipes while ago. I had this idea of doing Avocado Ice cream for a while.
Finally I made this Avocado Ice Cream recipe . I tweaked little bit for my taste. You can follow the original recipe if you like.

Ingredients for Avocado Chocolate Ice Cream:
  1. Avocados 4
  2. Heavy Cream 16 Fl Oz or 473 ml (1 pack)
  3. Chocolate Powder 2 Tbsp
  4. Chocolate Chips 4-5 Tbsp
  5. Lemon Juice 1 Tbsp
  6. Milk 1 1/2 Cups ( I had used 2% milk. Original recipe uses Whole Milk)
  7. Sugar 1/2 Cup

Procedure for making Avocado Chocolate Ice Cream :

Peel and remove pits from Avocados. Blend Avocados, Sugar, lemon Juice, Chocolate Powder and Sugar. When they are blended well add heavy cream and give a good pulse. Now add chocolate chips and give one more pulse. Make sure all ingredients are well combined.
Store in refrigerator for 4 hours. I left mine overnight.
Add the cooled Avocado mixture to Ice cream maker.

Start churning the mixture. Follow manufactures instructions to make Ice cream.

Mine was done in 20 minutes. My daughter couldn’t wait . She was asking “mom is it done yet ” 🙂 for 2 every min.
Ice cream was bit soft you can see that in my pictures. If you want a firm texture freeze it for 2 or 3 hours and serve.
You can taste avocado when you serve immediately. I didn’t feel avocado after freezing 🙂
It is so good even as puree with all the goodies in it. You can enjoy this at every stage.
