Goat Heart Curry

Couple of weeks back my hubby bought goat heart from Indian store. I don’t know how to do goat heart curry. I called my Mom and she told me to do a simple goat heart curry.Goat heart is very soft to touch and was very tough to cook. Keep that in mind.

Ingredients for Goat Heart Curry :

Goat heart

Onions 1

Green Chillies 4-5

Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp

Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp

Chilly Powder 1 tsp

Coriander powder 1 tbsp

Cloves few

Cardamom 4

Cinnamon 2

Cumin Seeds 1tsp

Curry leaves

Cilantro/Coriander leaves

Salt

Making of Goat Heart Curry:

Clean goat heart and chop into small pieces.

Take a pan and add oil when pan is hot.

Add curry leaves and after they splutter add cloves,cinnamon sticks,cardamom and cumin seeds and saute.

Now add chopped onions and green chillies and saute for few minutes.

When onion have changed their color add ginger garlic paste and saute.

Now add coriander powder,turmeric and chilly powders and saute.

Add chopped goat heart and saute for 2-3 min.

Add enough salt and sufficient water and pressure cook on medium flame and allow to cook. It took me 20 whistles. It takes more time than mutton.

Once goat heart is cooked you can either garnish with coriander(cilantro) leaves or coconut milk and garnish.
