Jonna Dosa

I’m trying to use all traditional grains in our diet. I have tried Jonna Idli and Raagi Idli. Now I’m into dosa and tried this jonna dosa. You don’t make out any difference compared with regular dosa and jowar dosa 🙂

Ingredients for Jonna Dosa

Jonna Pindi/ Jowar Flour/ Sorgum Flour 2 cups
Urad dal 1 cup
Methi seeds 2 tbsp ( i use lot. You can adjust )
Salt

Making of Jonna Dosa:

Soak Urad dal and methi seeds for 5 to 6 hours and grind it into paste. Combine Jonna pindi or Jowar flour with urad dal batter and mix well.

Allow to ferment for 10-12 hours. Make dosa’s as usual.Color of these Jowar dosa will be golden brown.

Serve Jonna dosa with your favorite chutney. I like it with tomato chutney.
