Mutton Curry Cooked in Slow Cooker

Cooking non veg in slow cooker gives very tender and juicy curry. I like to use slow cooker for making mutton paya and other mutton curries. I even make chicken stock in slow cooker. Slow cooker makes it easy and cook curry in lazy way. Sometimes I arrange everything before going to bed and curry will be done for morning breakfast.Follow this post if any of you are interested in making slow cooker mutton curry. Ingredients for Slow Cooker Mutton Curry

Mutton
Onions 2 medium
Green Chillies 6
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Chilli powder 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1.5 tbsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Curry leaves
Coriander Leaves
Tomatoes 2
Curd 1/2 cup
Whole garam masala
Masala powder 1 tsp

Making of Slow cooker Mutton Curry

Wash and clean mutton.No need of marination , you can directly cook mutton as you are going yo cook for few hours.

Add oil into slow cooker and add whole garam masala, chopped onions, chopped green chillies, mutton pieces, ginger garlic paste and other dry ingredients and add chopped tomatoes, curd and salt. Now mix everything and set the slow cooker to cook on high for 3-4 hours.

I cooked on high for 3.5 hours. I mixed everything now and then. After 3.5 hours of cooking , I turned to low cooking and cooked for 4 hours.

If I’m going to cook overnight I mix everything and cook on low for 8 -10 hours.

At the end of 7 to 8 hours cooking mutton will be coming out of bones literally.

You can garnish at this point and eat as it is.

But I like to give tadka. Take oil in a pan and add whole garam masala and cook onions till they are transparent and add this hot to the cooked mutton curry.
