This spicy chicken curry is made from scratch and is so easy to make and tastes yummy and very spicy.I’m warning you guys.It is very spicy adjust spice levels to suite your taste buds. Make sure you use fresh ginger garlic paste and make fresh masala for making this yummy chicken curry.

Spicy Chicken Curry
- 1 Whole Chicken
- 2 Onions
- 2 Tomatoes
- 2 Tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 5 Green Chillies
- 2 Tbsp Red Chilly Powder
- 2 Tbsp Coriander Powder
- 1 Tbsp Cumin/ Jeera Powder
- 1 Cup Yogurt/ Curd 1 cup
- 10 Curry Leaves
- 1 Coriander Leaves
- 1 Cinnamon
- 5 Cloves
- 4 Cardamom
- 1 Tbsp Sauf/ Fennel Seeds 1 tbsp
- 2 Black Cardamom
- 1 Tsp Pepper
- 1 Star Anise
First we need to make masala powder for this spicy chicken curry.
Dry roast all masala ingredients mentioned on very low flame for few minutes. If you get nice aroma in your kitchen It is done.
Grind these ingredients into fine powder.
Marinate the cleaned chicken. For marination add chicken ,salt, 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tbsp chilly powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 cup yogurt or curd, 1 whole lemon or lime juice . Mix all of them together and keep it aside for 30 min.
Now take a pan and add oil. When oil is hot enough add chopped onions, green chillies and curry leaves. Saute till onions are transparent.
Now add chopped tomatoes and saute till tomatoes are cooked.
Now add all dry spice powders and saute till raw smell is gone.
Now add marinated chicken pieces and saute till chicken turns into pale color.
Cover the pan and cook till chicken is tender. Add water to thin the gravy or to increase the gravy.
Cook till done. Enjoy spicy chicken curry with hot rice,chapathi or naan. Enjoy !
