Sweet Potato Bajji

Ingredients for Sweet Potato Bajji:

Sweet potatoes
Besan(Chick pea flour)
Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
Ajwain 1 tsp
Chilli powder
Salt
Soda a pinch
Water
Oil

Making of Sweet Potato Bajji

Chop sweet potatoes into thin slices.

Take a bowl and add besan, chilli powder, ajwain, ginger garlic paste, soda and salt.

Add water little by little and prepare bajji batter.

Batter should not be thick nor thin. It should quote your finger when you lift upwards. Check for taste and adjust.

Reduce chili powder if you want less spicy.

Heat oil in a pan on medium flame. Keep it the same throughout the process. Don’t increase or decrease the flame.

When oil is hot , dip sweet potatoes into the batter and gently drop them in hot oil.

Fry them on both sides and remove them onto paper towels to remove excess oil.

Enjoy sweet potato bajji with ketchup or tea or any hot sauce.
